How to use trivago?

Whether planning a trip or looking for getaway inspiration, trivago is your travel companion! With trivago, you can search and compare prices by hundreds of booking sites to find the best deal that meets your needs.

Let’s start with the basic steps for searching:

Step 1: Your search criteria

Type in your desired destination in the search bar (e.g. a city, country, or landmark). Then select your travel dates, enter the number of travellers and click Search.

Step 2: Price and deal comparison

trivago searches hundreds of possible options based on your search criteria. For each accommodation, you will see that trivago displays several deals provided by various booking sites. Now it’s your turn to browse through photos, read reviews, and compare prices.

Step 3: Reservation and payment at the booking site

Once you click on a deal, trivago will redirect you to the booking site where you can complete your reservation and make the payment directly to the booking site. We recommend to double check all information on the checkout page before proceeding with the payment.

Remember: trivago cannot manage your reservation. Any questions regarding the booking process can only be answered by the booking site’s customer service.
In case you need information on payment options or available amenities - or you’d like to confirm, change, or cancel your reservation- it’s best to reach out to the booking site directly.
